Spring collet, also known as milling machine collet, is a kind of cylinder-shaped clamp used to fix the drill or milling cutter on the milling machine, with high precision, easy operation, long service life, and other excellent performance. The most direct difference is that the cylindrical milling cutter should be used on the cutter rod, and the end milling cutter can be used when it is directly inserted into the taper hole of the spindle. The end milling cutter is mainly used to process grooves and step surfaces. The cutter teeth are on the circumference and end face, and they cannot be fed along the axial direction in general operation. When there is a center end tooth on the end mill, it can be fed axially. Moreover, the application range and requirements of high-speed steel end mills are relatively wide, even if the selection of cutting conditions is a little improper, there is not much problem. Although the carbide end milling cutter has good wear resistance in high-speed cutting, its application range is not as wide as that of high-speed steel end milling cutter, and the cutting conditions must strictly meet the use requirements of the cutter.
